Endeavor: Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village in January

Written by Scott Miller

Hello and Welcome to Endeavor - Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village.

Happy New Year! I’m looking forward to 2016!

I think it’s gonna be the best year ever. We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary, our Aeroponic Greenhouse will be up and operational, Sycamore Springs will be breaking ground and there are some other really cool things in the works. Everything about Garden Spot Village just keeps getting better.

Not only are our initiatives exciting but the Garden Spot experience and lifestyle makes it such a wonderful place. We’ve recognized for a long time that living with opportunity, purpose and creativity enriches lives; not only your life but the life of the community at large.  January is “unleash your creativity month” which seems an appropriate way to start the year.

As always there’s a lot going on. There are two painting parties this month. One is adults only but the other is inter-generational so bring your kids or grandkids. No painting ability required just an interest to give it a try.

Silver, Wood and Ivory will be performing during our Saturday evening concert series. It would be worth your while stop by. They are absolutely wonderful.

Do you know what the hottest trend in publishing is at the moment? Nine of the top 20 books on Amazon fall into this category. Adult coloring! It’s a global phenomenon. Research indicates there are significant health and wellness benefits from coloring. Together - the two most popular adult coloring books have sold over 13.5 million copies in 50 countries. Isn’t that amazing? Our first public “creative coloring party” is on January 27 at 7:00 p.m.   The cost is only $5 and you get to pick your own book.

You can find the date and time of all our public events on the events page of our website plus we just posted the January issue of the Garden Variety where you can discover all that is going on this month.

2016 is going to be a fabulous year  - feel free to drop in at any time. Our Refresh Coffee bar featuring Starbucks, our shopping venues and our restaurants are all open to the public. You can even give the gift of the Garden Spot Experience because we just released a series of Gift Cards which can be purchased at the Refresh Coffee Bar and The Harvest Table restaurant.

This has been Endeavor – Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village.

I’m Scott Miller and I hope to see you around campus.

As I always say  . . . Life is Good!
