Endeavor: Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village in July
Written by Scott Miller
Hello and Welcome to Endeavour - Highlighing the Happenings of Garden Spot Village. July is another action packed month and in this issue of Endeavour I’m gonna review 3 pretty cool things.
First - Garden Spot Village is a sponsor for Encore Berks - Day at the Ballpark – the game’s at the Reading Fight’n Phils Firstenergy stadium on Monday July 6th. It starts at 9:30 in the morning against the Trenton Thunders. For free tickets - compliments of Garden Spot Village - call or stop by our Resident Services Desk in Village Square. We have 1,000 free tickets so feel free to bring your family and friends.
Second - On July 16th Jacob Landis whose grandparents live at Garden Spot Village will host a meet and greet on campus. Jacob rides his bike across the country visiting baseball stadiums to raise money for kids with hearing loss. He has an amazing story which includes recovering from serious injuries after being hit by a tractor trailer. Come hear his story and meet this nationally recognized young man.
And the 3rd thing I want highlight is the incredible Garden Spot Village lifestyle. The people who live at Garden Spot Village find their lives filled with activity, opportunity and purpose through initiatives like Making a Difference. Each month a different non-profit is sponsored providing an opportunity for people to get involved. Every summer we host a Backpack Drive to support kids in the ELANCO school district. Throughout the month of July you can drop off backpacks and school supplies at our campus. Help us make this the biggest drive yet! Checkout our website for details.
Along that line . . . you can learn more about these events by visiting our website. You can also discover all the other things taking place in July by checking out the latest issue of The Garden Variety. We just posted it and you can find it on the Events Page of our website.
This has been Endeavour – Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village.
I’m Scott Miller and I hope to see you around campus. As I always say . . . Life is Good!
