Garden Spot Village Christmas Review
Written by Scott Miller
One of my most favorite times of the year at Garden Spot Village is Christmas. There is so much going on. Everyone: residents, friends, family, visitors, staff just seems to be in a good mood. It is absolutely wonderful. Obviously, one of the reasons for that is simply because it’s the holidays. Another is because Garden Spot Village transforms into a Winter Wonderland. Lights and decorations go up outside that add an enchanted sparkle to the air. Inside, the Village Square and all the surrounding areas transform into a delightful festival of color, lights and good cheer. It would well be worth your while to stop by and see it all for yourself.
One of the reasons I love this time of year so much is because of the overwhelming spirit of cheer. When I look back and review my life I remember holidays when there wasn’t a lot going on for me as a single guy or for my wife and I. We weren’t busy with kids and family. Life was rather boring and Christmas was to some degree depressing because I didn’t feel like I was a part of anything. At Garden Spot Village whether you live here or work here or volunteer here or just simply visit you feel like you’re part of something bigger than yourself. Everyone is happy. Strangers are friends. It’s so cool.
This blog includes a Video Review Highlighting the decorating of Village Square. I gotta be honest. The video doesn’t do it justice. You could stop by and visit. Not only are the decorations amazing but on Saturdays through December the Train Room is open. There were over 400 visitors the first Saturday. Visit the Events page for dates and times.
Christmas is a wonderful time of the year at Garden Spot Village. Stop by and check it out. You will be glad you did!! Who knows . . . you might even bump into Santa Claus!
