Serving others combined with foreign travel is a great way to blend meaningful contribution with a sense of adventure. Living with purpose is important at Garden Spot Village and foreign mission trips are an integral part. This trip to the Dominican Republic, serving beside CURE International, provided spiritual and emotional support to the families and children receiving surgeries helping them to walk.
Dominican Republic Trip
February 11, 2017 through February 19, 2017
Follow the team blog as they are serving in the Dominican Republic.
GSV returned in 2017 to serve with CURE International’s ministry in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Experience CURE International’s hospital ministry, serve children who need orthopedic care and offer healing that changes everything. Each visit to the CURE hospital brings children and their accompanying families hope, physically and as they hear the gospel of Jesus. There are many children born today that cannot walk due to a variety of circumstances; CURE.org sponsors surgeries for the children to give them the ability to walk. Joining us in the Dominican Republic will allow you to meet new people, offer emotional and spiritual support to the children and families receiving the surgeries, and explore a beautiful country. You will feel and taste another rich culture of lively friends who love music, tasty food and the Caribbean Sea!
