April 29, 2013As a child, Nikolaus Kampen fled Communist rule in the Ukraine and lived in a refugee camp in Germany. His odyssey later took him to Paraguay and Canada before he found a homeland in Lancaster County. Author Edgar Stoesz will share Kampen's story and sign copies of the biography Searching for a Homeland in the chapel at Garden Spot Village.

April 22, 2013As part of its commitment to community benefit, Garden Spot Village teamed up with Hands on House and Girls on the Run Lancaster to organize a local run in support of the victims and heroes of the bombings at the Boston Marathon. Sunday's event raised more than $1,300 for The One Fund Boston.
