Two-part lecture to be held January 23 and 30.
NEW HOLLAND, Pa. — Jan. 2, 2012 — Garden Spot Village invites the public to a two-part lecture on “Challenges in Biblical Interpretation” presented by Dr. John Soden, a professor in the Bible & Theology Department at Lancaster Bible College (LBC).
“Dr. Soden will address what we mean when we say ‘we believe in the Bible’, using Genesis 2 and 3 as a case study,” said Chet Yoder, director of pastoral services at Garden Spot Village. “He will touch on the creation discussion as well as an understanding of what is meant by the use of ‘Adam’ in these chapters.”
The two-part program if free and open to the general public. The lectures will be offered on consecutive Mondays, Jan. 23 and 30, at 7 p.m. in the chapel in the chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave.
