11th Annual Garden Spot Village Golf Tournament Set for June 9

NEW HOLLAND, Pa. —May 1, 2009 — Few things in life feel as good as getting outdoors on a June day, playing golf with friends and supporting someone in need. The 11th Annual Garden Spot Village Golf Tournament is scheduled for Tues., June 9, beginning at 11:30 a.m., at the Foxchase Golf Club in Stevens, Pa. Proceeds benefit the Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, which helps support residents of the continuing care retirement community who need financial assistance.

“By supporting one another during these times of great uncertainty, we can truly ‘fulfill the law of Christ’ as Galatians 6:2 instructs us,” said Steve Lindsey, CEO of Garden Spot Village. “The golf tournament provides a practical and fun way to help good people who need a helping hand.”

Garden Spot Village residents and staff alike serve on the golf tournament committee and play in the tournament. The event also draws strong support from the surrounding community, including local business sponsorship.

The annual fundraiser is sponsored by Ephrata Community Hospital and Horst Construction. New Holland Auto Group is donating hole-in-one awards, including a 2009 Lincoln MKS. Gift sponsors include Lancaster Electric, Inc.; Phoenix Contract, Inc.; RGS Associates, Inc.; and Clark, Inc. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available.

Early bird registration ($75 per golfer) ends May 8. Registration deadline ($90 per golfer) is May 22. The entry fee includes greens fees and cart, dinner, tournament gift, free range balls and door prizes. Every registered golfer will receive a polo shirt.
