Hello and Welcome to Endeavor – a monthly video update from Garden Spot Village, where you will discover the abundant opportunities you have to live with purpose in community.

I’m Juanita Fox, the director of media experiences and storytelling. Thank you for joining us this month for Endeavor.

Although Lancaster County has moved to Green, at Garden Spot Village we are taking a cautious approach to re-opening our campus. Residents’ family and friends are welcome to visit. We encourage outside visits in any of our outdoor seating areas, like the pavilion, where I am currently standing. We also have comfortable outdoor seating in the legacy garden and on the front porch by our main entrance.

We are postponing all public events through July. In addition, our restaurants remain closed to the public. Please continue to visit our website, where we offer regular updates on Garden Spot’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and detail opportunities that are available.

For the past three years, Garden Spot Village residents have hosted a free community meal that welcomed 150 people at CrossNet Ministries on the fourth Monday of each month. In March, with the help of our friends at CrossNet, we transformed the meal into a takeout/to-go format. We are so thankful for the ongoing generosity and donations by our residents which allows us to continue to participate in the to-go community meal format and provide enough food for 400 people each month. We look forward to the time we can meet again in person!

Construction continues at Sycamore Springs. In fact, the first families moved into their new homes at Sycamore Springs just a few short weeks ago! We still have homes available, with move-in dates as soon as this fall. If you are considering a move in 2020, Sycamore Springs is an opportunity you definitely want to explore. Call Megan or Kelly to make an appointment to visit the model home soon.

We just posted the July issue of the Garden Variety on the Events page of the Garden Spot Village website. At this time, events are only available for residents but we’ve included some interesting articles about how members of our community are still volunteering and living with purpose.

This has been Endeavor from Garden Spot Village, where you will discover the abundant opportunities you have to live with purpose in community.

I’m Juanita Fox and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
