March 2018 | Endeavor: Highlighting the Happenings at Garden Spot Village

Written by Scott Miller

Hello and Welcome to Endeavour - Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village.

March is full of new and exciting initiatives. If you've had us run your finances - through our financial model - to gain insight as to how your resources align with your future at Garden Spot you join hundreds of others who have been upgraded to Future Resident status. There's a nominal fee but people find it very helpful.

And, being a Future Resident has a variety of privileges.  For example, our first Future Resident Conference will be held Wednesday, March 13th. It's a full day of special sessions dealing with topics that many of you ask about. There will be a downsizing specialist, a realtor, a representative from a local bank, discussions about volunteerism and wellness. You can get a lot of your questions answered and discover some things you might want to think about. Keep an eye out for more details.

Garden Spot is a 2018 sponsor of the highly acclaimed Fulton Theater in Lancaster City. As a Future Resident you'll receive a complimentary invitation to an upcoming show with Residents - AND - other Future Residents. It will be a great way to connect with the community and experience an outstanding performance.

Those of you who work . . .  have been asking for Look & Learns in the evenings . . .  especially since the age at which you can move in was lowered to 55. The first Garden Spot After Work will be taking place in May with dinner and a presentation at 5:30. You can sign up thru the Look & Learn button on the website .

One of the reasons people find the Garden Spot Experience so appealing is because of all the opportunities to live with purpose in community. You're invited to participate in one of the Travel with Purpose trips. It's an opportunity to serve, build relationships and experience local culture - on the ground.

There are 2 trips coming up. One to a CURE hospital in  Africa later in the year. And another to North Carolina in April. We'd love for you to join one or both of the excursions, get involved and experience Travel with Purpose.

For more information check the March issue of the Garden Variety which we just posted on the website.
