October 2017 | Endeavor: Highlighting the Happenings at Garden Spot Village

Written by Scott Miller

Hello and Welcome to Endeavour - Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village.

Welcome to October. It’s a wonderful time of year and there’s a lot going on everywhere. You should’ve recently received a copy of Destination magazine. This issue comes with 8 short videos where you’ll hear from residents and community supporters. You can view the magazine on the Garden Spot Village website and it has direct links to the videos. I hope you find it engaging and interesting.

The New Holland Farmers fair opens on Wednesday October 3rd and Garden Spot Village is supporting the fair again this year with an entry in the parade and sponsoring a booth where you can talk to residents and pick up information. Be sure to stop in and say hello.

The annual Fall Festival is coming up on Saturday, October 14th. It starts out with an all you can eat pancake breakfast. There’s a silent auction with beautiful hand sewn quilts, handcrafted furniture, balloon rides and many other distinctive items to bid on. New -  this year - there will be an open house featuring several of the homes available at Sycamore Springs. More and more people come out for the fall festival each year. We hope you can join us.

Saturday, October 21st  Garden Spot Village will participate in the 7th annual Lancaster County Explore Retirement Living Open House from 10 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. You’ll be able to spend time with residents, explore the campus and visit a variety of apartments and houses including those at Sycamore Springs. Refresh café serving Starbuck and our contemporary Harvest Table restaurant are always open to the public so you’ll be able to get a cup of coffee or grab a bite to eat in one of the best restaurants in eastern Lancaster county. Please stop by on October 21st  and be sure to fill out an entry form to win 2 complimentary hot air balloon rides.

To discover everything that is going on in October you can check out the newest issue of the Garden Variety. We just posted it on the Garden Spot Village website.

This has been Endeavor – Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village.

I’m Scott Miller and I hope to see you around campus and as I always say  . . . Life is Good!
