Scott Weaver Named Design Champion

Written by Scott Miller

Scott Weaver, director of campus services, was named a Design Champion in July 2018 by Environments for Aging Magazine. He was recognized for the remarkable landscape and outdoor spaces he has created at Garden Spot Village over the past 22 years.

The article that profiles Scott and the other winners in Environments for Aging Magazine starts: “Design, by nature is a collaborative effort.  No project can be delivered without a team behind it from inception to fruition. But along the way, there are always individuals who leave their marks. And in no design sector is this more true than senior living. The industry wouldn’t be where it is today without professionals who rallied for change; who challenged the status quo; and who listened to what residents, families and staff truly want out of the environments in which they live and work.”

Scott will be honored at the Environments for Aging Expo & Conference in Salt Lake City in April 2019. In addition, an online article detailing Scott’s work can be found here.
