Jim Bennett, a volunteer with the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, will give an overview of the history of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He will explain how its expansion and innovations helped grow our country and economy during the second half of the 19th century and first half of the 20th. He will also share the story of how the Pennsylvania Railroad merged with its rival in 196, and why it went bankrupt two years later.
