Wellness Program Descriptions

Level 1 are seated programs which all exercises can be done in a chair.

  • Chair Chi Seated Tai Chi is a gentle exercise to help increase flexibility, strength, fitness and balance.
    Healthy Bites Nutrition/Weight Management Join us and learn ways to make small changes to achieve a healthier lifestyle with weigh-ins and group discussion
    Fitness Fun Come play, laugh, and even exercise. Gain flexibility, brain power, and muscle strength by exercising with balls, bands, bars and hand weights   
  • Sit & Fit A series of gentle movements designed to increase flexibility, mental awareness, general health, and reduce stress.
    Sit & Stretch Ease your mind with breathing, stretching, and flexibility to reach relaxation while sitting
    Wake Up with Wellness Join one of our wellness staff for Tea & Tips (though the days Lauren is there is will be coffee)
    Wellness Wagon Seated exercises with health care residents.

Level 2 programs will be combine standing and sitting exercises.

  • Balance Class simple exercises using your brain, muscles, and bones all work together to improve & maintain your body’s balance and keep you from falling.
    Games Lawn games by the pavilion; Bocce, Croquet, Pickleball or Badminton
    Walk and Tone Get started doing basic exercises with friends. A walking warm up followed by strength exercises are the steps to get you moving and sharing.
    Weight Room Workout We use the Keiser equipment to build strength increase flexibility and rev up your metabolism.

Level 3 programs are mostly standing exercises

  • Advanced Balance class Learn Advanced exercises that will improve your balance by adding a few tricks to make the exercises more difficult.
    Boys Only Boot Camp (BOB) This is a men only program. Total Body Workout.
    Line Dancing Learn some basic steps, along with some twists and turns. Line dancing is fun, easy to do, and a great exercise.

Level 4 programs combine standing, sitting and floor exercises.

  • 30 Minute Express Workouts A high intensity cardio exercise program to tone up your heart and body. Never the same class twice.
    30 Minute Stretch Workout Come and stretch with us using some Tai Chi and arthritis moves.
    Core & More Exercises effectively targeting your abs for a strong core to keep your body healthy and your spine protected.
    Full Body Circuit A strength class using interval training, along with bursts of cardio to help you tone all major muscles.
    Physique 57 A Full Body strenuous video workout that works your legs arms, butt, abs and more
    Stretch Flow Ease your mind with breathing, stretching, and flexibility to reach relaxation.

    This gentle therapeutic yoga course incorporates yoga postures and breathing techniques for active relaxation and mindful rejuvenation.

Level 1 – Low Impact

  • Arthritis Aquatic Program This is a recreational program with a wellness concept for people with Arthritis. This helps to manage symptoms, maintain independence, and enjoy life. Participants will do gentle activities in the warm pool that work range of motion and strengthen muscles.
    Learn To Enjoy Water.  This program is designed to encourage, help you deal with water apprehensions and enjoy the benefits of water exercise.

Level 2 – Moderate intensity Aerobics and Toning

  • Aqua Dynamics. This workout increases your muscle strength and flexibility by using the water’s resistance along with noodles, gloves, barbells and rings for an interesting variation of water exercises using both shallow and deep water
    Aqua Fit Uses creative water technique such as interval & cardio training, games, beach balls, barbells, and noodles to improve and maintain your fitness level.
    Cardio Splash This program will help you increase & maintain joint flexibility, strengthen & tone muscles, and increase endurance.
    Hydro Tone combines water walking and resistance training using barbells and noodles to improve muscle tone, endurance, flexibility, & balance
    Water Works A steady aerobic segment followed by deep-water exercise for endurance and muscle toning.
    Use Your Noodle And a pool noodle to engage your body and brain while you train.

Level 3 – High Level Aerobics

  • Hydromania. It’s a great cardio, strength & flexibility workout using the water’s resistance along with barbells & rings.
