We have a wonderful lineup of events and opportunities planned for June, along with a helpful reminder for anyone planning a special event of their own.
Do you have an event coming up? If you’re overwhelmed with everything that comes with planning a large event, take the food off your list using Signature by Garden Spot. Signature provides catering for intimate gatherings and large events alike. Whether you’re planning afternoon tea with the girls or an entire corporate picnic, Signature has you covered. On Saturday, June 20, from 8 am to 1 pm, Garden Spot Village will host a Community Yard Sale, Book Sale, and Wood Shop Sale across campus at the pavilion, main entrance, and participating homes marked with balloons. Stop by to browse gently used tools, books and other hidden treasures throughout the community.
Also on Saturday, June 20 at 7pm in the Chapel, the Malta Band of Lancaster will perform. Established in 1912 by the Knights of Malta, this 40-member band has a rich history of bringing music to Lancaster County and is filled with people who simply love to play music.
Make sure you also stop by the Main Street Art Gallery during the month of June for an exhibition featuring paintings by Lancaster County artist Liz Hess, who is widely known for her beautiful Red Umbrella paintings.
Then on Saturday, June 27 from 1:30 to 4pm, we invite train enthusiasts of all ages to our Train Room Open House. Be sure to bring the children in your life to enjoy the popular Talk with Thomas section and experience the creativity and craftsmanship of this beloved resident attraction.
