Garden Spot receives national Architecture & Design Award

Senior Housing News recognized two Garden Spot Village building projects in their 2018 Architecture & Design Awards today. Of the 90 communities that submitted entries, Garden Spot Village received 1st place awards in two categories. Sycamore Springs received 1st place in the Independent Living category. Thistledown Co-Living received 1st place in the Affordable Housing category.
LeadingAge Honors Garden Spot Communities with 2018 Innovation Award

LeadingAge Awards Committee selected Garden Spot Communities as the recipient of the 2018 Innovation Award in September. Kathryn Roberts, board chair of LeadingAge and the awards committee, said, “This award is given in recognition of programs that are models of innovation and excellence and contribute significantly to the quality of life of the individuals served.”

Scott Weaver named 2018 EFA Design Champion

The EFA Design Champions awards program was launched this spring to recognize the individuals who are advancing the design of senior living environments, those who have fought for design solutions that make a meaningful improvement in the lives of residents, staff, or the greater community. Scott Weaver, director of campus services, will be recognized during an awards luncheon at the 2019 EFA Expo & Conference in Salt Lake City.
