Garden Spot Village is committed to purposeful partnerships with like-minded nonprofits in our community. In July, we celebrate two of those partnerships.
First, we are honored to sponsor the New Holland summer arts in the park concert series at New Holland Memorial Park again this summer. The series includes a patriotic concert by New Holland Band and fireworks on our nation’s 250th birthday – Saturday, July 4. View the list of free concerts available on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday evenings through Labor Day at NewHollandSummerArts.com.
Second, we will collect school supplies and backpacks for CrossNet Ministries through the month of July. CrossNet Ministries provides safe places for youth to grow, learn, have fun and experience the love of God. Hundreds of students will receive backpacks and school supplies this August as a result of our community’s generosity. Stop by the Welcome Center in the Apartments Suite lobby to learn how you can contribute.
We are also honored to host a sacred art exhibition by local fine artist Liz Hess. Stop by the Chapel lobby this month to enjoy the incredible work of this talented artist. While Liz is well known for her “red umbrella” series, her sacred work series offers a glimpse into the depth of her faith. She will present the stories of her art on Tuesday, August 4 at 7pm in the Chapel. Prints and cards will also be available for purchase.
