Hello and Welcome to Endeavor – a monthly video update from Garden Spot Village, where you will discover the abundant opportunities you have to live with purpose in community.
I’m Juanita Fox, the director of media experiences and storytelling. Thank you for joining us this month for Endeavor.
Christmas in the era of COVID looks a little different at Garden Spot Village, but we are still living life to the fullest! I’m currently standing in front of the outdoor pavilion, which is decorated with custom lights from Rileigh’s Outdoor Decor. We partnered with Rileighs this year to create a winter wonderland in our Legacy Garden and at each of our entrances.
Each holiday season—between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day—the Train Club opens the Garden Spot Village Train Room to the general public. While we can only accommodate residents in-person this year, we’ve created a virtual tour of the Train Room so you can see all of the amazing improvements they’ve made throughout 2020. Short videos throughout the virtual tour spotlight visitor favorites. You can find the tour through a link on the home page of gardenspotvillage.org.
Construction continues at Sycamore Springs. We still have a handful of homes available, with move-in dates in early 2021. If you are interested in exploring a new home at Sycamore Springs, it’s important to call us sooner rather than later. We’ll need to start making selections for flooring and appliances before Christmas. If you want to make those choices yourself, you’ll want to call us soon. Call Ric or Kelly at 717.355.6000.
We just posted the December issue of the Garden Variety on the Events page of the Garden Spot Village website. At this time, events are only available for residents. We’ve included some great stories about residents who continue to volunteer and live with purpose, though, so you’ll want to take the opportunity to flip through the monthly magazine.
This has been Endeavor from Garden Spot Village, where you will discover the abundant opportunities you have to live with purpose in community.
I’m Juanita Fox and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
