May 2018 | Endeavor: Highlighting the Happenings at Garden Spot Village

Written by Scott Miller

Hello and Welcome to Endeavour - Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village.

You’re here with me in one of the amazing new Garden Spot Village houses at Sycamore Springs. This is the model and it could be yours. It’s a single family detached house. Look at this kitchen. You get single floor living with the added bonus of a sunroom upstairs and a drive-in basement. The price includes a fully functional elevator. How convenient is that? You can find a photo gallery on Zillow.com or do a virtual walk through by visiting the virtual tour on the home page of the Garden Spot Village website.

Imagine, if this house was yours, you could pack up, lock the doors, walk out and take off on our upcoming mission trip to a Cure Hospital in Kenya. No worries.  When you return ten days later it will be like you never left. All the yard work will be taken care of. Someone will have kept an eye on your house while you were away. You would have spent those 10 days worry free while entertaining scared children who are waiting for surgery and comforting their parents. That’s good living.

While the Kenya trip is still a few months away there’s a lot happen on campus in the month of May. For example the Amish Educational Series kicks off. You’ll find these sessions to be extremely popular and give you an authentic glimpse into life in the local conservative culture.

Ya know, you’ll wanna check the Garden Variety for the Mother’s Day dinner menu. It’s fabulous. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Reservations are required in the Terrace Restaurant and the Harvest Table is open seating as always.

If you’re on the Radar Screen or a Future Resident during the month of May you can sign up for Grands & Kids Camp which takes place in June. This is an award winning extremely meaningful week long program that combines: adventure, learn and a whole lot of fun. You and your grandkids will come away with the most wonderful everlasting memories.  Sign up soon. You can find the details in the Garden Variety which we just posted on the website.

This has been Endeavor – Highlighting the Happenings of Garden Spot Village.

I’m Scott Miller and I hope to see you around campus. As I always say  . . . Life is Good!
